Fire Damage Happens

The fire was caught in time, so our Horace home was salvageable and not a total loss. There was so much to do after the fire was extinguished and the firefighters and first responders left the scene. There was water damage left from putting out the fire, smoke, smoke odor and soot covered all of our belongings and furniture in the kitchen and family room where the fire started, and the smell of the smoke permeated everything in the entire house! 

Thank goodness for SERVPRO^® of Fargo. They arrived as the firefighters were finishing up and immediately began the cleanup and restoration process. They boarded up and secured the property while another team assessed the damage. They inventoried and packed out all of our belongings that could be salvaged and helped us with the insurance paperwork and process. I was amazed at the contents restoration services they offer, and they even moved everything back in after the reparations were made to the structure and our belongings were cleaned!
