Experiencing a residential or commercial fire in Fargo can be scary and overwhelming. Fires cannot be completely prevented. SERVPRO® of Fargo is aware of this as we have assisted in the cleanup of fire damage. The American Red Cross has developed a list of tips that can help assist in minimizing the probability of a fire occurring.
Fire safety tips:
- Install smoke alarms in the home or office area on every level of the building
- Test smoke alarms every month and replace the smoke detector batteries if needed
- Create a fire escape plan with family members or coworkers and practice the drill twice a year
- In the event that a fire does occur, do not try and fight it – get out of the area and call for help
Safety is always a top priority in any situation, but especially in a fire situation. Bring prepared can make a big difference in the outcome of a fire, safety-wise.
